Be ready for this, Christopher Floyd will give a talk on ‘Indies Workshop: Building a Co-Working Community’. Indies Workshop is a coworking office for the game industry in Seattle, WA. It is a place where you can talk about your games and meet other inspiring creators at monthly events. There is all the needed equipment including game consoles, VR development kits and much more. You can work alongside other members of the game industry. During this talk, Christopher will tell you why he actually decided to create such co-working space for indies. And he will discuss all the obstacles.

In 2015, Indies Workshop opened its doors as the first game-industry co-working space in Seattle, WA. Christopher will present his lessons learned over the past two years of running Indies Workshop. If you build it, will they come? This talk will be particularly of interest if you desire to learn how to set up a co-working office, and the common pitfalls that lie therein.

Christopher is a Developer at Radial Games,who just released Fantastic Contraption on PlayStation VR. He has worked all over the video game industry and its various sectors. In his spare time, Christopher has organized Dota 2 eSports tournament ‘The Rektreational’, and is an active member of Seattle Indies. He currently runs a co-working office for game developers in Seattle, Indies Workshop.
