These summer days are so hot but we’re gonna make them super entertaining. Therefore, DevGAMM’s Team keeps on working and expanding the boundaries, and we have already great news for all of you. As DevGAMM Summit in Seattle will be held on July 31, we are happy to announce our first speaker!

Please, welcome Tom Giardino, who’s going to deliver a talk ‘Steam: the latest trends and insights for developers’. This session will be very useful for those of you who plan to release their game on Steam. The talk will probably cover the replacement of Steam Greenlight with Steam Direct, which is a new system of game publishing, and Trading Cards changes – creation of a system where games don’t start to drop cards until the game has reached a confidence metric that makes it clear it’s actually being bought and played by genuine users, Gifting changes as safe cross-country gifting, Steam Curators’ updates that expand the kinds of content that they can create, and much more.

Tom Giardino will touch on new features of the Steam platform. He is going to provide helpful insights and advice for developers who are distributing their games through Steam Store, or planning to do so in the future.

Tom Giardino works on the Steam Business Team at Valve, where he helps the people who make PC games connect with the people who play PC games. Tom is a graduate of the Michael G. Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. He has worked at Valve since 2012, and despite years of effort and practice, he remains terrible at Dota 2.

Don’t miss it and come to DevGAMM Summit in Seattle, meet the representative of Valve company, and learn more about Steam opportunities. Buy your tickets right away :)
