KRI (The Game Developers’ Conference) is an official Russian forum brought by and for the developers, as well as publishers of PC, console, online, smartphone, tablet, arcade, mobile and social games and games for other platforms. Every year this event gathers hundreds of artists, designers, animators, programmers and sound directors who make games from all corners of the former USSR. They come to share the experience and brand-new ideas with their mates, learn something new, find someone new – a person to hire, a person to work for or partner with.
Every year dozens of recognized experts from various game-making spheres deliver their speeches and workshops at KRI, covering all kinds of subjects – from the subtleties of programming ang game character creation to project management and after-sale service. The annual KRI Expo is a place for showcasing state-of-the-art software, services and development platforms and, of course, new game projects that haven’t been for sale yet. The conference also features Bussiness Lounge, a special negotiation zone where the companies and individuals may negotiate with the largest Russian and foreign game publishers, and the annual KRI Awards ceremony. KRI Awards is the only prize awarded by the community of professional Russian developers to people, companies or projects that have become widely acclaimed at the game market.
Steel Media launched its first full-on conference, Pocket Gamer Connects, in London at the start of 2014. It exceeded all our expectations, with over 700 top-tier attendees representing leading mobile game developers, publishers, and service companies from all corners of the world.
In June, we followed it up with PGC Helsinki, adding a Nordic twist to proceedings as we explored the past, present, and future of the Finnish games industry for the benefit of over 800 delegates. But we’re not stopping there…
In January 2015 we’re looking to go bigger and better still.
