Inside the DevGAMM FTW! Speaker Lineup
First times are always a nerve-racking experience. You want them to be special and unforgettable. With that in mind, we’re proud to reveal a very special speaker lineup that will complete the first-ever DevGAMM FTW! conference, hosted together with the Serbian Games Association in Belgrade on September 29–30.
Expect 50+ talks, workshops, and panels, covering game design, AI, publishing, LiveOps, UX, art, mobile growth, and the business of games.
Experts from Lucasfilm, Supercell, Scopely, Square Enix, Devolver Digital, Unity, TikTok, Xsolla, Wargaming, Aptoide, and many others will join. We can’t stop bragging about this lineup, so here’s some more introduction to the people that not necessarily need it.
01.From New Zealand to Belgrade: Jonathan Rogers Takes the Keynote Stage
If you’ve followed Path of Exile over the years, Jonathan Rogers probably doesn’t need much of an introduction. He has been closely involved in the evolution of the series through years of updates, expansions, changing systems, and constant interaction with one of the most engaged player communities in games.
Today, he leads Path of Exile 2 – a project that has had to answer a particularly difficult game development question: how do you move a huge, established game forward without losing what made people care about it in the first place? And in Belgrade, he will unpack its seasonal model.
We don’t want Jonathan’s visit to be limited to one hour on stage. There will also be opportunities for Q&As and conversations around the conference and side events, so yes – you may actually get the chance to ask that very specific question you’ve been saving.
02.More reasons to check the schedule
One thing we wanted from the DevGAMM FTW! program was range.
Not fifty versions of the same “how we made our game” talk, but people who approach games from completely different angles: engineering, live service production, UX, art, publishing, marketing, game direction, business development, and everything that happens between an idea and a game reaching players.
Jane Skullman, Senior Live Service Producer at Arrowhead Game Studios, comes from one of the most demanding areas of modern development: running a live game after launch, when the work is far from over.
Representing Supergiant Games, Engine Programmer Nikola Šobajić takes us closer to the technical side of game development, exploring the systems and engineering decisions behind the player experience.
And on the art side, Mikhail Greuli, Art Director at Massive Entertainment – A Ubisoft Studio, will talk about creating Ubisoft worlds – and what it takes to get an entire team moving toward the same vision, mood, and identity.
We’ve got people behind games such as Helldivers II, THE FINALS, Hades II, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Clash Royale, Stumble Guys, Pokémon GO, Marvel Strike Force, Star Trek Fleet Command, Top Eleven, World of Tanks, Fortnite, and more.
This September, Serbia becomes a meeting point for the people shaping what games look like next. DevGAMM FTW! is where the conversations start – and where you’ll want to be when they do.
We can’t wait to share this first Balkan experience with you.
