How did DevGAMM Gdańsk 2025 go?

To be honest, pretty damn well! With 620 attendees from 35 countries, the third DevGAMM in Poland was our biggest yet – while still keeping the kind of focused networking and meaningful conversations that massive events just can’t offer.

While 61% of attendees came from Poland, we also welcomed nearly 60% first-timers who had never been to DevGAMM before. Welcome to the club!

LECTURES & WORKSHOPS

Over 50 speakers shaped the conversation on the future of game development – the event’s main theme. We were honored to once again welcome Mr. Piotr Grzelak, Deputy President of Gdańsk, who emphasized the game industry’s growing importance to the region.

🎤 Monika Chmura, Bloober Team

🎤 Thomas Frøhlich, SYBO

🎤 Vladimir Gaidenko, Larian Studios

🎤 Sho Stilo, Riot Games

🎤 Łukasz Łukasik, Techland

Lecture recordings from the Scorewarrior Hall will be published on our YouTube channel soon.

Another fantastic addition to our content lineup was the workshop room, dedicated exclusively to hands-on, practical masterclasses led by some of the industry’s finest:

🛠️ Gabby Llanillo, PUBG

🛠️ Rami Ismail

🛠️ Stanislav Mishchenko, 11 bit studios

🛠️ Michal Korek, Ten Square Games

🛠️ Elena Dimopoulou, Epic Games

🛠️ Samuel Smutek, Game Changer

Games

With over 300 game submissions, DevGAMM Gdańsk truly became a hub of gamedev. Sponsored by Unity, the Game Showcase highlighted 44 talented gamedev teams and their incredible creations.

Attendees had the chance to explore the showcase and experience these games up close, especially with the awesome equipment provided by AMD, our Technological Partner.

Engage! with Publishers and Investors was a huge hit at DevGAMM! This activity gave game developers the unique opportunity to present their games directly to professionals who listened, provided feedback, and discussed potential publishing opportunities.

Here are the publishers and investors who joined the 2-hour session: Team17, Critical Reflex, United Label, One More Level, tinyBuild, CobraTekku Games, Tate Multimedia, Kando Factory, Agora Gaming, Mika Games, Appodeal, MGVC. It was a blast!

The Public Pitch session gave five teams the chance to take the stage and pitch their games to a panel of industry professionals and a live DevGAMM audience. Here’s the stellar panel:

🎤 Alex Nichiporchik, CEO, tinyBuild

🎤 Kate Dovnar, Executive Producer, MGVC

🎤 Meg Clarke, Senior Game Scout, Team17

Hosted by Rami Ismail, this was a highly productive session filled with insights and valuable feedback. A huge congratulations to Paweł Jarosz, who pitched Witchcrafter: Empire Legends, on his well-deserved win!

Don’t even try to understand or feel the Game Roast, if you weren’t there in person! The wildest presentations, the weirdest costumes, and the most bizarre blended mixes on stage. And, oh yes – Jon Carnage made a surprise appearance!

Huge kudos to our brave experts: Rami Ismail, Sos Sosowski, Michael Kuzmin, Henrique Olifiers, and, of course, the mastermind behind this iconic DevGAMM tradition – Alex Nichiporchik.

A huge congratulations to Alexander Nasonov from Dark Trip for taking the pan home! And long live the remaining developers, especially those who had the pleasure of sipping on the infamous cocktails.

The third edition of the Digital Vikings Awards closed DevGAMM Gdańsk 2025 with a bang, celebrating the best indie games from the 9 countries around the Baltic Sea.

The main prize for Best Indie Game went to Manor Lords. A huge congratulations to all the winners for their exceptional work and creativity in the game development scene

NETWORKING

Probably the most important part of the event, networking brought together representatives from 362 companies, fostering meaningful connections and potential collaborations.

Thanks to our sponsor, Invest in Pomerania, attendees scheduled in the PINE meeting app an impressive 973 meetings throughout the conference.

Hidden from the public eye, Roundtables provided a space for in-depth, private discussions on key industry topics – ranging from critical legal issues in gamedev to marketing strategies for scaling games and monetization techniques.

Exclusively available to VIP, BUSINESS, and SPEAKER ticket holders, these discussions were expertly moderated by professionals from Unfrozen, Sperasoft, Highwiregames, 1D3 Digitech, Malpa Games, and other top brands.

The Expo Area was the prime spot for connecting with sponsor companies. HDVB, tinyBuild, Boombit, Swag42, RedCerberus, 8Bit, and many others were on hand to engage with attendees, showcase their latest projects, and host special activities at their booths.

Sponsored by Swag42, our attendees rocked some seriously cool lanyards throughout the conference. And those lucky enough to have VIP, BUSINESS, or SPEAKER badges got to enjoy the extra comfort of the Business Lounge, courtesy of Invest in Pomerania.

DevGAMM Quest gave attendees extra motivation to explore the Expo Area. By completing tasks at sponsor booths, participants collected stamps, and those who filled their cards got the chance to enter the Quest Raffle.

This time, 159 attendees joined the challenge, and 11 lucky winners walked away with awesome prizes: a Steam Deck, PC games, exclusive merch, and more!

The Main Party, sponsored by Scorewarrior, was the real celebration of gamedev! It’s that special moment when you put down the meeting app and meet decision-makers where they truly shine – sipping cocktails, vibing to good music, and having unfiltered conversations.

That’s exactly what went down at SASSY Club in the heart of Gdańsk. And the best part – the party was open to all event attendees!

Apart from networking, DevGAMM also provided an opportunity for career prospects in game development. Sponsored by GS Studio, Career Hub was the go-to place to find a job or connect with potential new hires.

This time, we were joined by our partners from 8Bit, Values Value, and inGame Job, who offered career advice and consultations for those looking to explore new opportunities in the industry.

VIP EXPERIENCES

For the first time in Gdańsk, we introduced a VIP ticket, designed to maximize the networking experience for our conference attendees.

The Unreal Dinner by Epic Games gathered VIP and invited attendees for casual conversations and meaningful connections with industry leaders at a restaurant recommended by the Michelin Guide. It was the perfect opportunity to build relationships in an exclusive, elegant setting.

The Baltic Culinary Experience, sponsored by the Gdańsk Convention Bureau, brought together VIP attendees for a short tour of this stunning Polish city, paired with a gastro tasting and seasoned with casual networking.

Despite the rainy weather, this unique experience offered a genuine taste of Baltic culture, creating memorable connections and unforgettable moments.
