Best Small Team Game:
For teams of up to 10 people with no publisher or external investors.
Meaningful Game:
This category celebrates games that create emotional, cultural, educational, social, political, or personal engagement through play.
Meaning is not a genre. It emerges through the player experience when a game encourages reflection, fosters empathy, opens new perspectives, inspires curiosity, strengthens community, or helps players better understand themselves and the world around them.
This category welcomes games that engage meaningful themes directly, and games where meaning emerges more quietly through systems, storytelling, atmosphere, or interaction.

In addition to the main categories, the competition also includes sponsored nominations.
Each sponsor defines their own category, sets the criteria, determines the prize, and selects the winner.

Exception: for the Epic Games Store Indie Spotlight category, the initial release date must be no earlier than January 1, 2025.
Absolutely! Your game can be at any stage of development – as long as you have a playable build.
A game is considered released once a fully completed version has launched on any platform.
Early Access and Soft Launch are still considered development stages.
If your game has won a DevGAMM Award before, it can’t be submitted again.
If it was nominated but didn’t win, you can resubmit – provided it still meets the eligibility criteria. However, you can’t apply for the same category it was previously nominated in.
We ask for game keys so judges can play and properly evaluate your game.
- You’ll need to provide 25 keys during the initial submission.
- If your game is nominated, we’ll request 50 additional keys for the final judging round, where more judges will review your game.
If you prefer not to share keys, you can provide a private link to a playable demo instead.
In all cases, judges must be able to access and play your game for it to remain in the competition.
Games with sexual, harmful, discriminatory, or offensive content will be rejected.
Very early prototypes or rough-looking games may not be accepted.
We reserve the right to reject an application without providing an explanation.
